TEC Video Adds Channels To Cable Lineup

Joey GarnerJackson, Miss. – TEC Video customers will notice two additional channels included on their cable TV lineup effective Monday, September 29. Fox Sports 1(FS1) and FXX have been added to the Extended Basic programming. FS1 and FXX will be located on channels 65 and 66, respectively. These additions come on the heels of adding the highly popular SEC Network in August.

Fox Sports 1 is a sports-oriented network that took the place of the motorsports network Speed in 2013. It will air an array of live sporting events, including Major League Baseball, college sports (most notably PAC-12 and Big 12 Conference football, and Big East Conference basketball), soccer matches, UFC mixed martial arts, and a variety of motorsports events such as NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and United SportsCar Championship. FS1's schedule will include FIA Formula E Championship in 2014, while coverage of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, United States Golf Association championship events and Major League Soccer will begin airing in 2015. FS1 also features daily sports information, highlights, and discussion programming (with Fox Sports Live serving as the centerpiece), as well as sports-related reality and documentary programming.

FXX, aimed at young men in the 18–34 age range, focuses on original and acquired comedy series, some dramatic programs, and feature films. It will highlight shows such as The Simpsons, Parks and Recreation, How I Met Your Mother, Raising Hope and The League. FXX will also carry Tracy Morgan Comedy in 2015.

Joey Garner, TEC Executive Vice President stated, “The SEC Network has been a great addition, and we feel that by adding these two networks, viewers will be entertained with a variety of sports programming.”
