MADISONVILLE, KY. [Sept 30, 2026] — The City of Madisonville, Hopkins County, the Kentucky Sports Factory, and TEC today announced a 20-year partnership naming TEC as the presenting sponsor of the Kentucky Sports Factory. The partnership includes an updated logo and name, Kentucky Sports Factory, Connected by TEC, and reflects TEC’s commitment to community connectivity, local investment and economic development in Madisonville.

TEC will serve as the presenting sponsor of the Kentucky Sports Factory through July 31, 2046, establishing a long-term connection with local families, athletes, visitors, and the broader community. The partnership will bring together the Kentucky Sports Factory’s role as a destination for sports and community experiences with TEC’s investment in reliable, high-speed connectivity and local presence.

“This partnership with TEC is another great example of what can happen when organizations invest in the future of our community,” said Madisonville Mayor Kevin Cotton. “The Kentucky Sports Factory, now Connected by TEC, has quickly become a tremendous asset for Madisonville—bringing families and visitors to our community while, most importantly, creating opportunities for our young people to compete, grow and build relationships through sports. We’re grateful to TEC for recognizing that impact and choosing to invest in a facility that is helping shape the next generation right here in Madisonville.”

“For TEC, this is about more than putting our name on a building; it’s about putting down roots in Madisonville,” said Scott Pell, President of TEC. “We’re investing in fiber infrastructure, creating a local presence, and supporting places like the Kentucky Sports Factory that bring people together. We look forward to being part of this community for many years to come.”

“The Kentucky Sports Factory, Connected by TEC has been a tremendous investment in the future of Hopkins County,” said Hopkins County Judge-Executive Jack Whitfield. “This partnership with TEC is another exciting step forward. This facility is bringing people from across the region to our community, supporting our local businesses and, most importantly, giving our young people a first-class place to play, compete and grow. We are grateful to TEC for making this investment and for sharing our commitment to youth sports, our families and the continued growth of Hopkins County.”

“We’re very thankful to TEC for choosing to invest in the people and families who make this community special,” said Drew Harrington, General Manager of the Kentucky Sports Factory. “This signals TEC’s belief in our venue, our mission, and in Madisonville and Hopkins County. We’re proud to have them as a partner for the years ahead.”

TEC will provide ultra-high-speed fiber Internet service to the Madisonville area at speeds of up to 8 gigabits, helping connect homes, businesses, and community life. TEC plans to open a local branch and hire local staff, strengthening its presence in the community. The company’s local involvement extends beyond the Kentucky Sports Factory through support of City events, scholarship programs, Chamber activities, and small-business events.
