What are text alerts?
TEC provides simple, two-way access to customer account information and alerting through SMS messages. Available information through text alerts includes billing information and account change information.
How do I receive messages?
Just text one of the following keywords to 800-832-2515.
HELP – Receive text with available keywords to access your account information and a link to more information
ACCT – Receive your account number
PAY – Confirm your last payment amount and date posted
BAL – Confirm your current balance due and the date it is due
APPT – Receive information about any scheduled appointment you may have
Is there a cost to receive text alerts?
Our text alerts are free to subscribe to, but standard message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier.
What if I change my phone number?
If your phone number changes, simply sign up again with your new number to continue receiving alerts.
What should I do if I’m not receiving alerts?
First, check to make sure your phone number is correctly subscribed. If the issue persists, contact our support team at 800-832-2515 for assistance.
What if I no longer want to receive text alerts?
Text "STOP" to 800-832-2515 at any time to stop receiving text alerts to your mobile phone.
