Why am I seeing the wrong local channels?
Some streaming TV services determine your local channels based on how they identify your location. In rare cases, this may not immediately match your physical address even though your internet service is working properly.
This is not an internet speed or reliability issue.
Is this something TEC controls?
No. Local channels are determined by your streaming TV provider, not TEC. Each streaming service decides which local stations (TV market) are assigned to an address or ZIP code.
How do I contact my streaming provider for help with local channels?
If your streaming TV service shows the wrong local channels, reaching out directly to the provider’s support team can help you update your home location:

How do I fix it?
If you notice incorrect local channels, the solution is usually quick:
Contact your streaming TV provider (Netflix, YouTube TV, Hulu Live, DirecTV Stream, etc.)
Ask them to update or reset your home location so it matches your physical address
Confirm the ZIP code and home location on your streaming account
If using a Samsung Smart TV, the provider may walk you through updating the location on the device
